Book our Lab Space?

Both our Usability and Groupwork Labs are available on a fee-for-use basis to researchers, professionals, organizations and companies. The priority is for research, but we occasionally rent the facilities for other purposes.

Fee Schedule (effective March 1, 2008)

Usability Lab

Option 1 provides access to the Usability Lab only which also includes the desktop computer that resides in that room; there is no access to the Observation Room or to any technical support.

Option 2 provides full access to the Usability Lab and to the Observation Lab; our technicans operate eye-tracker, computing and audio-visual equipment; user will be provided with DVD(s) of the data.

Groupwork Lab

 Half Day Full Day

Option 1 provides access to the GroupWork Lab only; there is no access to the Observation Room and no technical support.

Option 2 provides full access to the GroupWork Lab and to the Observation Lab as well as the set of tablet computers; our technicans operate audio-visual equipment; user will be provided with a DVD of the data.

Conditions of Use

  1. Lab operates during normal working hours: 8:30-12:00 & 1:00-5:00, from Monday to Friday; additional fees apply for use outside of those hours.
  2. Our technicans are always in control of the equipment; others may be selectedly delegated tasks depending on knowledge and experience.
  3. We are a research establishment; the services one expects to find in a conference facility or hotel may not be available.
  4. We take measures to ensure that data is reliably recorded and that our equipment is in good operating condition; however, we will not be held responsible for equipment failures that our outside of our control.
